Norman R. Michal, Jr., 66, of Chattanooga, died peacefully on May 5, 2015.

He was born in Salina, Ks., on March 8, 1949. He graduated from Kansas State University. He served in the U. S. Marines and worked as an engineer for TVA. Norman was a Christian and worshiped at Central Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Norman and Charlotte Michal.

Surviving are his wife, Susie Michal; two brothers, David and Bruce Michal; two daughters, Heather Williams and Michelle Michal; grandsons, Jacob and Charlie; and granddaughter, Mary Etta.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Ministers Wayne Williams and David Schonhoff officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
