Hixson Soccer Advances In District 6-A/AA Soccer; Howard Wins

The Hixson Wildcat soccer team punched their ticket to the District 6A/AA championship on Tuesday with a 4-2 win over Chattanooga Central.  

Hixson led 3-1 at the half.  

Vencente Guerrero, Clinton Collins, Jesus Leon and Spencer Groves had goals for Hixson.  

Groves had two assists and Cameron Rigler had one. 

Bryson Lemmons and Andrew Wagner scored Central's goals.  

Jake Powell had five saves for Hixson and Thomas Crownover had 12 for Central.  

Hixson improves their overall record to 15-3 and 7-0 in the district. 

 They will host Howard on Thursday for the district title.

 Howard won their first ever play off game in just their first season as a team.  They surprised East Ridge with a 2-1 Tuesday at Camp Jordan.  

East Ridge had beaten Howard 6-0 in the regular season.
