Billie Jo Puryear Bailey, 86, of Lookout Valley, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a native of Sequatchie, TN and a member of St. Elmo Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, U.C and Helen Burnett Puryear, Sr.; her loving husband, Bill Bailey; brothers, Joseph and Charles Puryear; and a sister, Barbara Headrick.
She is survived by her sons, Jackie (Joy) Bailey and Jeff Bailey and daughters, Sandy (Calvin) Jolly and Jennifer (Jerry) McCuiston; grandchildren, Stacie Peardon, Mitch Jolly, Bill Bailey, E.J. Bailey, Alison McCuiston and Marcy McCuiston; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, U. C. Puryear, Jr. and Carl Puryear, a sister, Vera Burdette; several nieces and nephews; and loving caregivers, Helen Thurmond, Joyce Gossett, Melissa and Greta.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. CDT, Friday, May 8, in the funeral home chapel with Minister John T. Smithson officiating. Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. CDT, on Thursday, May 7, and from 9 a.m. CDT until the service on Friday, May 8.
