Hammon, Helen I. Parker (South Pittsburg)

Helen I. Parker Hammon, 78, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015.

She was a former employee of Hammer’s Department Store and was a charter member of the Christian Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paris Benton and Mary Lee Reno Parker, Sr.; brothers, Raymond Parker, Paris Parker, Jr. and Shorty Parker; and sisters, Virginia Tolbert and Margaret Evans.

Mrs. Hammon is survived by her husband, Doyle Hammon; and step-daughter, Angela (Vince) Rollins.

Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. CDT, Sunday, June 28, with Bro. Joe Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. CDT on Saturday, June 27 at the Tate Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
