Diane Swanson Roberts Lawson, 68, of Rossville, Georgia, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015.

A resident of the North Georgia area most of her life, she was a member of Mid-Way Baptist Church. Diane was a prayer correspondent for “Let’s Go To Church Outreach”, and was over the food pantry at Mid-Way Baptist, but most of all she was known for taking care and loving people.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Lawson; parents, Hugh Jefferson and Thelma Lucille Boss Swanson; brother, Douglas Swanson and sister, Barbara Jean Jordon.

She is survived by four sisters, Charlotte Carlton of Chickamauga, Brenda Miles of Chickamauga, Debra Pollard (Paul)  Gray of Ringgold, and Sandra (Bud) Slaten of Rossville; two brothers, Rev. Bill R. Swanson of Rossville, and Rev. Jackie (Margaret) Swanson of Rossville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, at Mid-way Baptist church with Reverend Bill R. Swanson and Reverend Jackie Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-South.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, from 3-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
