Fallen Heroes

The men and women who serve in all branches of our military are due the utmost respect and thank you from a grateful nation.  And while there is a 'friendly rivalry' between the branches; if you attack one you attack all. 

My father served as a Marine in the South Pacific during World War II.  As a child, he taught me the Marine Corps hymn.  Tomorrow, one of the fallen will be laid to rest and I can not help but remember that line of the second verse of the hymn. "If the Army and the Navy ever look on Heaven's scene; they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines."
