Tyecha McCullough, 23, Stabbed To Death At College Hill Courts; 2nd Person Hurt; Eric McCullough, 46, In Custody

Tyecha McCullough, 23, was the woman who was stabbed to death at College Hill Courts on Wednesday night.

At approximately 10:27 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 1400 Cypress Street Court for a stabbing. 

Officers located the victim suffering from a life-threatening stab wound and she was transported from the scene by HCEMS and later succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.

The suspect, Eric McCullough, 46, was taken into custody at the scene and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a self-inflicted, non-life-threatening injury to his left hand.

An additional victim, Antwon Lee, 25 was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

Ms.

McCullough was the niece of McCullough.

Lee told police that McCullough jumped out from a porch and attacked them as they walked by.

McCullough claimed his niece hit him first, then he used the knife. He said they had been arguing since he moved out of her apartment over a month ago.
