Author Rachel Held Evans Will Speak At The CACPC Annual Pastoral Care Banquet July 16

The Chattanooga Association of Clinical Pastoral Care is hosting its Annual Pastoral Care Banquet on Thursday, July 16 at 5:30 p.m. at The Vine at First Centenary United Methodist Church.  The tickets are $17.  

Officials said, "We expect to sell out so please order tickets as soon as possible.  If we do not sell out tickets will be available until Monday, July 13."  To order online or for more information, go to www.eventbrite.com or www.saygrace.net.

The speaker for the banquet is Rachel Held Evans.  She is a New York Times best-selling author whose books include Faith Unraveled, A Year of Biblical Womanhood, and Searching for Sunday.

Ms. Evans has been featured in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Christianity Today, Slate, The Huffington Post, The CNN Belief Blog, NPR, The BBC, The Today Show, and The View.  She keeps a busy schedule speaking at churches, conferences, colleges and universities around the country.

A reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., which will be followed by a dinner and then the speaker.  The dinner will consist of appetizers, turkey tenderloin, carrots, green beans, roasted potatoes, spinach salad, and dessert.  If you would like a vegetarian meal or have questions, contact Christy Bonner at crbonner@hotmail.com or 423-326-9001.  Dr. Lynn Petras will provide musical entertainment.
