The Dalton State Roadrunner Basketball Booster Club will have an afternoon of fun with a chance to network with fellow supporters of the defending NAIA National Champion Roadrunner basketball team.

Larry Harrison from the booster club said the club’s annual golf tournament at Nob North Municipal Golf Course will be held this year on Friday, Sept. 18. All proceeds will go to help support the team.

“It’s a great way to have fun while raising money for our college team” said Harrison.

Chick-Fil-A will serve a free lunch for participants beginning at 11:00 a.m. The four-man team select shot tournament will have a shotgun start at noon.

Cost is $500 per team or $125 for individuals. Participants will have an opportunity to purchase a red tee and a throw for just $25. Members of the Southern States Athletic Conference champion golf team will be available to help. Team members will take one shot for a $10 donation.

Harrison says prizes will be awarded for flights, longest drive and closest to the pin. Anyone interested in playing is asked to contact any member of the booster club including the golf committee members in the photo.
