Erwin Marine has taken over the marina on the Chattanooga Riverfront from MarineMax, Inc. Louis "Kayo" Erwin, owner and president of Erwin Marine Sales, Inc. on right, and Dave Bigge, regional president of MarineMax, Inc.

Locally owned and operated Erwin Marine Sales has expanded by taking over the Chattanooga riverfront location formerly managed by MarineMax. This location will be renamed Erwin Marine Riverfront, LLC. Erwin Marine Riverfront plans to continue offering transient dockage along Chattanooga's 21st Century Riverfront in addition to fuel, pump out and related boating services.

Erwin Marine Sales currently operates boat sales, service and storage facilities throughout the Tennessee River Valley System including locations on Chickamauga Lake by the Dam and on Honeycomb Creek near Huntsville.

"We are excited to become involved with the 21st Century Riverfront and look forward to expanding our service and reach to the community," said Patrick Deal, vice president - GM. "As we move forward, we plan to market the riverfront to our existing customers in the surrounding cities where we operate today. Introducing more people will continue to strengthen the local businesses and organizations in the downtown area.

"Through this transition, we recognized the pride and dedication the Marine Max employees share for the riverfront. We applaud them and look forward to working together as we modify the organization."

Louis "Kayo" Erwin, owner and president of Erwin Marine Sales added, “As a Chattanooga native, I'm excited about bringing my community together through boating and events on the water."
