CapitalMark Bank & Trust announces the addition of Lawrence M. “Larry” Richey as senior vice president and director of client services operating in CapitalMark’s downtown Chattanooga office. In this role, Mr. Richey will deliver customized solutions to clients seeking a comprehensive banking relationship.

CapitalMark’s Chattanooga President Kenny Dyer said, “CapitalMark’s hiring strategy has always been to attract and retain the most seasoned professionals who can provide distinctive service and effective advice to clients, and Larry is an ideal candidate.”

Mr. Richey is a 30-year banking veteran most recently serving as senior vice president of the commercial banking unit at a larger, regional institution. He received a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Eastern Michigan University. In addition, he is a visiting professor at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Chattanooga.

In July, CapitalMark completed a merger with Nashville-based Pinnacle Financial Partners and is currently operating as a division of Pinnacle Bank. Richey will continue to serve clients in the combined institution after the operational conversion and name change occurs in March 2016.

Mr. Richey said, “CapitalMark and Pinnacle both place an unwavering focus on the client experience, which is what attracted me to this unique opportunity. The combined institution’s mission is to be the best financial services firm in Tennessee, and I look forward to helping deliver on this goal.”
