Two people were shot Sunday night on Dodds Avenue.

Chattanooga Police responded to Erlanger Hospital concerning two gunshot victims arriving for treatment.

A man and woman were traveling in a car together when they were shot at by a suspect in another vehicle. There was a third passenger who occupied the car with the victims, but she was not struck by gunfire.

The victims attempted to drive to Erlanger, however they were involved in a vehicle crash at 300 Central Ave. The victims' injuries are non-life threatening at this time.

 There is no suspect information.

CPD investigators have identified a possible suspect vehicle in the shooting.

Investigators describe the vehicle as a Mercury Cab minivan #243. The van was purchased by a former Mercury Cab employee who still owns cab #243. The van is no longer officially a Mercury Cab. On van #243 the Mercury Cab seal on the door has been removed but the #243 remains. There is still a working light on the roof.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525.  The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
