An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment of a Madisonville man on vandalism charges.

In August 2015, at the request of 10th District Attorney General Steve Crump, TBI special agents began investigating a report of product vandalism at the Yamaha Jet Boat Manufacturing plant in Vonore. The investigation revealed that Zachary Todd Cooper, a former employee at the plant, was responsible for the vandalism which resulted in damages in excess of ten thousand dollars.

On Oct. 5, the Monroe County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Cooper, 20, with one count of Vandalism over $10,000. Today, Cooper turned himself in and was booked into the Monroe County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
