Betty Davis
Betty June Davis, 88, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
She spent the last 6 1/2 years with her daughter and son-in-law, Troy and Angie Simmons at their home.
She was preceded in death by parents, Iva Marie Helms and William Eaves, her husband, James T. Davis, Jr, sons: Arie J. Davis and Mickey Lee Davis, daughter, Mary J. Osen.
She is survived by children: Jeannette (LaMarr) Groves, Ooltewah, Tn. Kenneth Davis, Ooltewah, Tn. Angie (Troy) Simmons, Soddy Davis, Tn., David (Laurie) Davis, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Only surviving sister is Mary Charles Gann of Rossville, Ga. Grandchildren: Billy Osen, Brenda Webb, Kristy Scruggs, Tony Bearden, Mickey Minor Davis, Gary Hall, Jr., Candice Hall, Lacey Crowe, Alexandria Simmons, Madison Simmons, Shelby Davis, Bethany Davis. Several great grandchildren, great- great-granchildren, nieces and nephews.
She loved her family, the Lord and she loved to sew and crochet.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Troy Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Crowe, LaMarr Groves, Mickey Minor Davis, Tony Bearden, Kenny Webb, and LeRoy Scruggs
