Salvation Army Holds First Warehouse Auction Friday And Saturday

  • Thursday, October 27, 2016

Renown Auctioneer, Carter Stine, has stepped forward to volunteer and host The Salvation Army’s first Warehouse Auction Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at 5001 Covington St., off Rossville Boulevard.

“With need still high, and donations low, we had to get creative on new and innovative ways to raise funds,” states Major Robert Lyle, Chattanooga Salvation Army area commander.  “We are grateful to have a friend like Carter Stine to help with this auction.”

Mr. Stine states in his expert opinion there will be incredible buys for those who frequent auctions.  “Hundreds and hundreds of great box lots of glassware and housewares, art, frames, small appliances, sporting goods, antiques, lamps, collectibles, large dragon collection, office desks, over 30 different showcases of all sizes, Chippendale highboy, 1840’s Tennessee candle stand, mid-century Danish Chairs, several nice 1960’s dressers and chairs, and anything else that may be found in today’s home will be sold to the highest bidder,” said Mr. Stine.

All are encouraged to come.  It is open to the public. Food will be for sale as well.
