Erlanger Treats Nearly 100 Patients In 10 Days For Shortness Of Breath

There has been a steady and slight increase in shortness of breath complaints over the last few days in four Erlanger emergency rooms.    

Erlanger’s emergency room teams have treated 98 patients with complaints of shortness of breath since Nov. 1. The highest number of patients with this complaint was Thursday, with 15 patients, compared to three weeks ago when there were five with this compliant.  

Erlanger’s emergency room staff records medical complaints/symptoms. Shortness of breath may not be attributed to the smoke in the area.
