Tennessee American Water Lifts Request To Temporarily Limit Non-Essential Water Use For St. Elmo, Lookout Valley And Mountain

  • Sunday, November 20, 2016

Tennessee American Water has lifted the request to temporarily limit non-essential water use for St. Elmo, Lookout Valley and Mountain residents. Earlier this evening, the 24-inch pipe which supplies the majority of the water to that area of Hamilton County was repaired.

Friday afternoon the main was damaged when a contractor bored through the pipe.  As a precautionary measure and only until the repair was complete, Tennessee American Water had asked residents in Lookout Valley, St.

Elmo and Lookout Mountain to limit non-essential water use.  The repair was completed in a little more than 24 hours.

If residents notice air or discolored water, they can run their cold water until it runs clear.
