3 Arrested After Shots Fired On Shallowford Road And An Interstate Pursuit

Three people were arrested Wednesday evening after shots were fired, and an interstate pursuit ensued. They were Akello Miller, 20, Joseph Brooks, 20, and Hayley McCormack, 21. Miller and Brooks are validated gang members.
 
 A Chattanooga Police officer heard several shots fired in the 7200 block of Shallowford Road at 7:34 p.m. The officer observed a silver Saab Q5 flee the area at a high rate of speed.
The
vehicle traveled west on Shallowford Road, north on I-75, exiting at mile marker 20 then returning via I-75 south. A tire on the vehicle blew causing the vehicle to stop one mile south of Exit 20.
 
 No parties involved were injured. Several shell casings were located at the initial scene on Shallowford Road. The three suspects were taken into custody on the felony stop. One weapon was recovered from the vehicle.
