Howard Lusk
Howard Leland Lusk, Sr., 75, of Hixson, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
Howard was born in Whitwell, Tn., to the late Cecil and Katherine Lusk. He was a 1959 graduate of City High School. Howard was a longtime employee with Pruett’s Food Town and retired from Erlanger Medical Center with over 17 years of service. He was a member of Mountain Creek Church of Christ. Howard was a very loving, compassionate, and caring individual with a wonderful sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Hamblen.
Howard is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Roy Lusk; children, Leland (Shea) Lusk, Tim (Teresa) Gooden, and Michael Gooden; 7 grandchildren, Jason (Miranda) Lusk, Megan (Weston) McCorkle, Craig (Brandi) Lusk, Jedidah Lusk, Tike (Mistie) Gooden, Jeremy (Maegan) Gooden, and Justin Gooden; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Joe (Aundrey) Lusk; sister, Martha (Bob) Wash; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, and noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Howard will follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the North Chapel with Minister Ken Chambers, Sr. and Minister Gary Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
