Clayton Rowe
Clayton Morris Rowe, 91 of Chattanooga, died on Friday, February 12, 2016.
He was born March 28, 1924 in Stearns, Ky., to the late Ledford and Dora Rowe.
He was a United States Navy veteran serving during World War II.
Mr. Rowe attended New Haven Baptist Church. He was a member of the East Chattanooga Masonic Lodge.
His wife, Evelyn T. Rowe of 60 years, four brothers, Herbert Rowe, Paul Rowe, Jack Rowe, and Gene Rowe, and daughter-in-law, Darlene Rowe preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Lois Rowe of Cleveland; grandchildren, Nathan (Khume) Rowe of Chattanooga; Kelton (Tabitha) Rowe of Ringgold; Greg (Elaina) Earps of Niota; Branden (Cady Pannell) Deering of Chattanooga; Zack Souter of Ringgold; Stephanie (Mark) Affron of Chattanooga; and great-grandchildren, Maddison, Drew, Jill, Nicholas , Braden Earps.
He was a loving and gentle family man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 13, from 2-8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 14, from 12–3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 3:30 p.m. in the East Chapel with Reverend Robert K. Schrader officiating.
Interment will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 2:30 p.m.
