Frank Edwin Roddy, 73, of Acworth, Georgia, formerly of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. 

He was born Jan. 14, 1943, in Chattanooga to the late Frank Wilson and Myra Faye Roddy. 

He was a 1961 graduate of Tyner High School. 

Edwin was a former member of Tyner United Methodist Church.  Mr. Roddy was past president of both the Sertoma and Chattanooga Personnel Clubs and was also a member of the North Georgia Mopar Club.  He was an avid amateur (ham) radio operator for many years.

He served in the Tennessee National Guard and retired from Coca-Cola Enterprises after more than 20 years of service.  

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Young Roddy; daughters, Jennifer (Dan) Nolan of Acworth, Georgia and Pamela Roddy Magrans of Clarksville, TN; one brother, James Willard (Sandra) Roddy of Columbus, Georgia; and grandchildren, Lindsey Kate Nolan, Hailey Reese Nolan, Christopher Roddy Magrans, and Kyle Daniel Magrans.   

Family and friends are welcomed to gather for graveside services Saturday, March 12, at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Park, 501 Memorial Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415. Clay Browder will officiate. 

There will be no public visitation prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, Ky., 49502 in the name of Owen George.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 South Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
