Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained indictments for a Portland firefighter accused of sexually assaulting a child.

At the request of 18th District Attorney General Ray Whitley, TBI Agents began investigating David Wilber on March 3. During the course of the investigation, agents developed information that on several occasions between August 2014 and August 2015, Wilber was the individual responsible for the sexual assault of a child.

The Sumner County Grand Jury returned indictments on March 7 charging the 37-year-old Portland man with three counts of sexual battery by an authority figure. Today, authorities arrested him and booked him into the Sumner County Jail on $20,000 bond.
