A mobile home was destroyed by fire early Monday.
The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Ooltewah area. At 2:45 a.m., a motorist called 911 reporting a mobile home on fire at 4250 Woodland Drive. The Tri-Community VFD responded and reported a double-wide mobile home fully involved with fire. Firefighters worked quickly to get the fire under control.
A family member drove to the scene and reported to fire officials that this was her father’s residence. He was deceased and she was in the process of cleaning out his personal items. She mentioned no one had been living in the mobile home for several months.
Since this residence had no electricity, fire officials requested the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Arson Division to report to the scene to investigate the cause of this fire. The double-wide mobile home is a total loss and damages are undetermined at this time.
No injuries were reported but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to the first responders.
