A Bradley County deputy was hit Thursday night while directing traffic at a special event on Urbane Road.
The deputy was transported to Tennova Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle was City Commissioner Charlie McKenzie.
The deputy struck was assessed by medical personnel at Tennova Medical Center, and was released.
