East Ridge Narrows City Manager List To 10

  • Friday, April 15, 2016

East Ridge has narrowed its city manager search from 51 applicants to 10 finalists.

The commission will discuss the finalists next Thursday night.

There were applicants from all over the country for the post.

Local contenders who are finalists include Amanda Miller, of the city staff, and Chris Dorsey, former Red Bank city manager. Mr. Dorsey in 2013 was offered the East Ridge post at a pay level of $120,000. Instead, he accepted the city manager job on Signal Mountain, though it only paid $90,000.

He was dismissed by the Signal Mountain Commission eight months after he was unanimously hired.

Mike Williams, the city fire chief, continues as the East Ridge interim city manager.
