Hixson Presbyterian Church is building a new church and selling the current one to Friendship Baptist Church of Hixson.
Hixson Presbyterian is in the beginning stages of building on property on Hixson Pike beside Stonewall Farms Subdivision.
The church will be renting from Friendship Baptist in the Gadd Road property until sometime in early 2017 when the new building is ready.
Church officials said Hixson Presbyterian is a growing church, adding some 50 new members in the last year.
Price of the church transaction was $1,350,000.
