Mary Alice Norris Slaven, 87, of Signal Mountain, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.

She was a member of the Lone Oak Church of God. Her family was her whole world. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Slaven and parents, Charlie and Liza Norris. 

Survivors include her sons, Lonnie Thomas (Diane) and Edward Frank Thomas (Kim); daughters, Dian Johnson (Lee), Mary Ellen Hale and Sara Baggett; brother, Tom Norris (Judy); sisters, Gracie Bilbry, Hassie Oaks, Maude Walker, Agnes Norris, Leona Norris, Lillie Henry and Ida Smallwood (Herbert); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held on Friday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at the Lone Oak Church of God with Pastor Glen Key officiating. Burial will follow at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery. Visitation is on Thursday, May 26, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., both at the Lone Oak Church of God. There will not be a visitation at the funeral home.
