Erlanger Welcomes 4 New Physicians

Erlanger Health System welcomes four new physicians to its growing network of physicians serving the Chattanooga area: Drs. Karisten Djernes, James Fleming, Allison Goddard, and Harish Manyam.

 Karisten Djernes, MD, family medicine physician, is now accepting new patients at UT Erlanger East Brainerd Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed the family medicine residency program at UTCOMC.

James Fleming, MD, board-certified neurologist, will be seeing hospitalized patients as a neurohospitalist at Erlanger. He received a medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed the internal medicine and neurology residency programs at Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Allison Goddard, MD, dermatologist, is accepting new patients at UT Erlanger Dermatology. She received a medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine and completed a dermatology residency program at Loyola UniversityMedical Center. She also completed fellowship training in cutaneous oncology from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Harish Manyam, MD, cardiologist, will be practicing electrophysiology (EP) at UT Erlanger Cardiology. After earning a medical degree from the American Universityof the Caribbean, Netherlands Antilles, he completed an internal medicine residency program and a cardiology fellowship program at Allegheny General Hospital. He received additional training through an EP fellowship from Case Western University/University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
