Nell M. Smith, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away at the home of her daughter Crystal Lynn Kimsey on Tuesday morning, May 24, 2016.
Nell was born in Statesboro, GA on July 31, 1932, to the late James & Margaret Gould. She was a member of Mabel White Baptist in Macon, GA. Nell was a devoted homemaker and wife who took great pride in taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Bill Smith; one grandson, Josh Jones; and one brother, James Edward Gould.
Nell is survived by two daughters Crystal Lynn Kimsey and her husband Reverend Ray Kimsey and Donna Griffin of Newnan, GA; four grandchildren, Candace Jones, Andy Jones, Kyle Fuller and Chris Kimsey; two sisters, Louise Highsmith of Savannah, GA and Wynette White of Jacksonville, FL; three great-grandchildren, Dakota, Sarah-Beth and Ethan; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.
A graveside service is planned for Friday, June 3 at 1 p.m. in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens in Statesboro, GA with the Reverend Ray Kimsey officiating.
Companion Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
