William Arthur “Bill” Crisp, 86, of East Ridge, Tennessee, died on Thursday, May 26, 2016. 

He was an optician by trade and a veteran of the National Guard.  His hobbies included raising azaleas, enjoying Glen Miller music and collecting stamps and coins.  He was a wonderful father with a great sense of humor.  He was always sharing humor with a twinkle in his blue eyes.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruby Gordon Duckett, James Crisp and Betty Margaret Schaich.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn McCuiston Crisp; children, Candas Crisp; Cathy (Charlie) Robertson; William Kent Crisp and Richard Kevin Crisp; two grandchildren, William Shane Robertson and Sean Michael Crisp; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Lee Crisp, Hailey Jayne Alana Crisp and Sawyer James Bryan Crisp; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.  Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, May 30, at the funeral home.
