Driver Of Scooter Suffers Serious Leg Injury In Wreck On Broad Street

The driver of a scooter suffered a serious leg injury in a crash on Broad Street early Sunday morning.

 

at 12:30 a.m., the Chattanooga Police Department's Traffic Division responded to a serious injury crash at 1700 Broad St. at W 17th St involving a scooter and an SUV. 

 

Police said the scooter, operated by 27-year-old Bradley Brock, was traveling southbound on Broad Street. An SUV operated by Zachary Nation, 24, pulled out from W 17th St attempting to cross Broad Street.

 

The vehicles collided.

 

Mr. Nation said he looked both ways when he attempted to cross Broad Street, and did not see any headlights.

 

Hamilton County EMS advised that the scooter driver sustained serious injury to the lower portion of one leg, but the injury was non-life threatening. 

 

Charges are pending on the scooter driver pending further investigation and toxicology, police said.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
