The Smokies took the final game of the five-game series against the Lookouts on Tuesday afternoon by a count of 4-1. Jacob Hannemann hit his second home run in as many games for the Smokies while starting pitcherJen-Ho Tseng picked up his second win of the season.

The Lookouts got a stellar start out of 21-year old Kohl Stewart, the Twins' top draft choice in 2013 and fourth overall, who went 6 2/3 innings before being lifted in the seventh inning.

Although he was was the losing pitcher, Kohl gave up one earned run on seven hits, Hannemann's solo homer.

With the win the Smokies improved to 28-37 on the year while the Lookouts drop to 33-31 on the season.

Chattanooga's Zach Granite led off the contest with a triple to right field and was immediately driven home thanks to a sacrifice fly off of the bat of Engelb Vielma to give the Lookouts a 1-0 advantage.

The Smokies offense got going in the fifth frame as Carlos Penalver led off the inning with a single to right field. Daniel Lockhart followed that up by reaching on a throwing error by Ryan Walker. Both Smokies moved into scoring position with Trey Martin laying down a sacrifice bunt.

Chesny Young drove in both Penalver and Lockhart after sending a ground ball between third and second which was deflected by Vielma giving Young a two-RBI single handing Tennessee a 2-1 lead. Young's two RBI game was the first time he had driven in a run since June 5 at Mississippi.

Tseng found a groove on the mound in his season-high six innings of work. The 21-year-old retired the Lookouts in order in the second and third innings and struck out two batters in his outing.

Stephen Perakslis took the mound for Tennessee to start the seventh inning and forced the Lookouts to hit into one double play and picked up a strikeout in his inning of work.

The Smokies picked up an insurance run in the home half of the seventh inning as Hannemann sent a rocket over the foul pole in right field for his eighth home run of the season. Hannemann hit a solo shot against the Lookouts on Monday as well.

The Lookouts turned to the bullpen as Corey Williams came on in relief of Stewart and Williams escaped the seventh getting a pop out from Young.

Tennessee was able to add to their lead in the eighth inning when Williams threw a wild pitch with two outs allowing Cael Brockmeyer to scamper home from third and push the Smokies' edge to 4-1.

Jose Rosario picked up his first save at the Double-A level while striking out D.J. Hicks to end the game.

Before beginning the three-day All-Star break, the Lookouts move on to Montgomery for a five-game set with the Crackers. Chattanooga returns home to open the second-half June 23 against first-half winners, the Jackson Generals.
