The Mount Canaan Baptist Church is partnering with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank to give away free produce every month to the community at large. Members will be on the church parking lot to distribute 1,750 pounds of fresh produce. The giveaway will take place at the Mount Canaan Baptist Church parking lot (former K-Mart) at 4801 Hwy. 58 in Chattanooga on the fourth Saturday of every month from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

This community outreach is part of the Produce Empowerment Program with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank and ties in with the mission of the Mount Canaan Baptist Church which is to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the community, organizers said.

Everyone in the community is welcome.
