Charles Harold Ellis, Sr., 90, of Rossville, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in a local health care facility.
A native and lifelong resident of Rossville, Mr. Ellis was a member of Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church and the Auditorium Sunday School Class and he retired as a supervisor with Wheland Foundry with more than 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Joyce Fielding Ellis, his parents, Herman and Flossie Ellis, and brother, Leon Ellis.
Survivors include his sons, Charles H. Ellis, Jr. (Jan) of Bryant, AL, & Steve (Annette) Ellis of Rossville; grandchildren, Shannon (Rick) Kesler, Flat Rock, AL, Greg (Joy) Ellis, Bryant, AL, and Tina (Josh) Vaughn. Rossville; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Gerlda Case, Delaware, Ohio; and brother, Hobert Ellis, Rossville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend George Pinion officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, from 4–8 p.m., and Friday, from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
