James “Buddy” Harley Barrett, Jr., 66, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Ruth Barrett; daughter, Angie Barrett Meeks; and son, Greg Barrett all of LaFayette; sisters, Janit Wright of Cleveland, TN., Tresa Barrett of LaFayette, Connie Starkey, and Cindy Keith both of Trion; brothers, Jackie Barrett, Allen Barrett, and Jeff Mann all of LaFayette; grandchildren, Ashley Owens, Tripp Cheatham, Tyler Barrett, Becca Cheatham, Madison Barrett, Malina Davis, Keiaira Lipps, Matthew Schubert and Destany Schubert; great-grandchildren, Cannon Cordle, Paizley Cheatham, Ayedenn Barrett, Knox Owens, Kruz Tucker and Airabella Barrett; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel will be Wednesday, June 29 at 2 p.m. with Tino Rivera and Steve Swanson officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are Bubba Barrett, Kris Fowler, Joe Fowler, Glenn Ballinger, Michael Schrader and Jason Starkey. Honorary pallbearers are Zack Gill and Mason Schrader.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 28 from 5-8 p.m.
