Erlanger Hosts Free Living Well And Grief Support Programs

Erlanger Health System, BlueCross BlueShield, and Area Agency on Aging and Disability will offer Living Well with Matter of Balance beginning Wednesday, July 6.  The eight-week program is for individuals 60 years of age or older.  Individuals will work on increasing their activity level, flexibility, balance and strength without the fear of falling.  Anyone who is concerned about falling, has sustained a fall in the past, and currently restricts activity because they fear of falling should attend.

All the classes are free, and light refreshments will be provided.  Individuals who participate in the program will receive a book and CD from the Area Agency on Aging and Disability. Attendees will also receive an incentive gift card for their attendance and participation for each of the programs in the series.  Seating is limited and registration is required. The Ronald McDonald House and Erlanger offers a support program every fourth Thursday of each month called “Moments to Share”.  This month’s support group will take place tomorrowThursday, June 30.  The Moments to Share support group is for parents and family members who have experienced the loss of an infant. The group aims to help those who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal loss by offering families a place to come together and discover ways of coping with their losses.

Registration for the support group is not required. Walk ins are welcome. The Moments to Share support group is located at the Ronald McDonald House from 7 until 8 p.m.  Please call (423) 778-5149 for more information.
