Mocs Place School-Record 177 Students On SoCon Honor Roll

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga was well represented on the recently released 2015-16 Southern Conference Honor Roll.  The Mocs put a school-record 177 on the list that consists of student-athletes who participated in varsity sports and posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher. 

The previous high was 152 in 2011.  UTC also had 51 earn the SoCon Commissioners Medal.  This honor is awarded to student-athletes who attain a GPA of 3.8 or higher throughout the year.

That standard is up from 3.5 in previous years.

Chattanooga also had 21 student-athletes earn a 4.0 GPA in the 2015-16 academic year.  For the full list of honorees, see the attached documents.
