James “Deacon” Donald Anderson, Sr., 64, of Whitwell, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.  

Mr. Anderson was a member of Victory Baptist Church and served as Deacon for 27 years.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Anderson and Betty Honea; and step-father, Arnold Honea. 

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Beth Smith Anderson; children, James “Flip Flop” Anderson, Jr., and Tim Michael (Denise) Anderson; grandchildren, Kaylee Kilgore, Caleb Anderson, Madelyn Anderson and Hudson Anderson; great-grandchild, Lexie Kilgore; sister, Janice (Virgil) Woods; brothers, Dyle (Martha) Anderson, Dale (Cheryl) Anderson and Bill (Renee) Honea; and several nieces, nephews, church family members and friends. 

Family will receive friends  from 4-8 p.m. CST Friday, July 22 and from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. CST Saturday, July 23.

Funeral services will be  3 p.m. CST Sunday, July 23, in the chapel of Victory Baptist Church with Reverends Mike Graham and Gene Fuller officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers please send donations to assist with medical expenses.
