Lora Oliver, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away at the home of her daughter, Sandra Oliver on Aug. 21st, 2016.
She was surrounded by 2 of her daughters and other family members. She was a resident of Kinston, NC prior to moving to Cleveland in 2014. She was born on Sept. 9, 1932. Ms. Oliver enjoyed visiting the mountains or the beach and reading a good book. Her faith in Jesus Christ and her family were the cornerstones of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Oliver; her parents, Elbert & Melissa Lane; her sister, Clara Mae Cayton; and her brother, Bill Lane.
She is survived by her children, Linda Oliver, of Kitty Hawk, NC, Theresa Garcia, of Cleveland, TN and Sandra Oliver, of Cleveland, TN; six grandchildren, Michael Herring, Christy Herring-Maher, Kyle Barber, Heather Tyndall, Erica Turner Farmer and Michelle Turner; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Moore, Shane Farmer and Savannah Maher; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 4488 Hwy 70 West, Kinston, NC 28504.
