SportTalk Getting Extra Hour; Brian Joyce Show To Be 1-3 As He Takes On Other Duties

  • Thursday, August 25, 2016

SportTalk will be getting an extra hour on WGOW Radio as the Brian Joyce Show is shortened to 1-3 as he takes on other duties.

Bill Lockhart, interim program director, said Mr. Joyce will add web development, podcasting, and digital content to his duties.

As a result, beginning Monday, his afternoon show will air from 1-3 p.m., while Sport Talk will run from 3-7 p.m.

Mr. Lockhart said, “This change allows Brian to expand his considerable talents to the digital side, while also expanding WGOW’s online reach. At the same time, it gives us the opportunity to expand one of our most popular shows, ‘SportTalk,’ to an additional hour on the Talk Radio airwaves.

”With the addition of Dave Hooker to SportTalk, we think this is the perfect time and perfect opportunity to take our programming in new and exciting directions. Brian is great with social media and digital content. We look forward to the new projects he will be working on, and we’re excited to offer our listeners an additional hour of SportTalk.”
