Dr. Oz Comes To Chattanooga Aug. 17

Dr. Mehmet Oz, of the “Dr. Oz Show”, will make a personal appearance at the Embassy Suites at Hamilton Place on Wednesday, Aug. 17, to benefit the “Believe” campaign for a new Children’s Hospital at Erlanger. Due to the popularity of this TV personality, heart surgeon, radio host and best-selling author, reserved seats to the special breakfast event are expected to sell out quickly and space is limited.  

Dr. Oz has won seven Daytime Emmy Awards for the Dr. Oz Show, which appears locally on WDEF-News Channel 12.  He is a professor of Surgery at Columbia University and his research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive surgery, alternative medicine and health care policy.  Dr. Oz was a featured health expert on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” for six seasons, spanning over 60 episodes.  He has authored seven New York Times best-sellers, including “You: The Owner’s Manual.”

He has a regular column in Oprah Magazine and Time, has been named Time magazine’s “75 Most Influential People of the 21st Century” and Forbes “Most Influential Celebrity.”

From 8 to 9 a.m., guests will enjoy a personal "VIP Meet and Greet" with Dr. Oz, who will be available for photos and autographs. This event is limited to 50 guests and the $100 per person registration fee also includes a continental breakfast catered by Ruth’s Chris Steak House, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by Dr. Oz’s talk on “The Good Life: The Health You Really Want”, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., concluding with a question and answer session.  VIP check-in starts at 7:30 a.m.

Guests will enjoy a continental breakfast catered by Ruth’s Chris Steak House from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.  Hear Dr. Oz's talk on "The Good Life: The Health You Really Want," followed by audience questions and answers, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Onsite check-in starts at 8 a.m.
