Trac Hoe Damaged By Fire Wednesday Afternoon On Hixson Pike

Dallas Bay firefighters battled a trac hoe fire Wednesday afternoon.

At 4:20 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting a trac hoe fire at Shelton Construction at 7611 Hixson Pike.

The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported a Volvo trac hoe fire involved in the engine compartment and cab area. Dallas Bay VFD requested the Hamilton County Hazmat team to respond to the scene due for a hydraulic and diesel spill from the trac hoe.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and damages are unknown at this time.

No injuries were reported but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to rescue personnel.
