As part of a targeted effort to provide the most positive, innovative and well-rounded education for its students, Silverdale has committed staff and resources to major advances beginning this fall.

Following on the heels of winning athletic seasons in TSSAA Division I, Silverdale has committed to move to Division II beginning in 2017-2018. After final rulings were made and defined at the end of July 2016, Silverdale will be making the move and joining a majority of private schools statewide.
“We saw this day coming and have been making preparations toward this next move with a strong athletic department, booster support and an athletic complex that is first class and debt free,” stated Becky Hansard, Silverdale’s Head of School.

Silverdale opened its doors to the first kindergarten class in 1999, continuing to build over the years. They entered TSSAA Division I-A with their first event in 2005. With a current high school enrollment of 280, Silverdale will continue to build on its athletic excellence and compete with schools of similar enrollment. “For eleven seasons we have competed in Division I-A. In that time we have had great athletes and teams and won numerous district and region titles, and competed in state tournaments,” Tim Couch, High School Athletic Director said. “We are looking forward to strengthening our calendar, program, coaches and student athletes in Division II.”

“We are thankful for Silverdale’s growth with our board, staff and families committed to preparing students to become godly warriors through discipleship, excellence and integrity. To continue our strong programs in education, the arts and athletics, Silverdale is preparing for the future with an innovative new multi-purpose building to include fine arts facilities, a tournament-ready gymnasium, and other classroom spaces,” Hansard said.
