Dalton State Announces Women's Soccer Schedule

The first year Dalton State women's soccer team is now on campus and preparing for a season that will begin with two scrimmages later this month.

The Roadrunner scrimmages will be at Tennessee Wesleyan University at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 and at home against Milligan College (Tn.) on Aug. 23 at 4:30 p.m. The exhibition with Milligan will be followed by a 7:00 p.m. men's exhibition with Lee University.

The DS women will open the season with five matches on trips to Florida and Tennessee.

They return home on Sept. 18 to play Oakwood University (Al.) at 3:00 p.m. The ladies will play at Oakwood in Huntsville on Oct. 16. Otherwise, the final eight regular season contests will be against Southern States Athletic Conference opponents. All but one of the matches will precede Roadrunners men's matches. The lone exception will be on Oct. 21 when the team plays Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. Brenau doesn't have men's athletic teams.

The SSAC season begins with Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Ga. on Sept. 29 at 12:30 p.m. Middle Georgia comes to Lakeshore Park on Oct. 1 at 5:00 p.m. Our teams go to the University of Mobile on Oct. 6 with the women starting at 6:00 p.m. ET. It will then be on to Hattiesburgh, Ms. on Oct. 8 where they will play William Carey University beginning at 5:00 p.m. ET. Faulkner University (Al.) visits Lakeshore Park beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 13.

After the action at Oakwood and Brenau, our soccer teams will return home to close-out the regular season with Bethel University (Tn.) on Oct. 27 at 6:00 p.m. and Martin Methodist University (Tn.) on Oct. 29 at 5:00 p.m.
