Dr. Michael Gurian Gives Presentation On The Mind Of Boys Thursday

Dr. Michael Gurian will speak on "The Mind of Boys" Thursday evening.  He will discuss why boys are underperforming and disengaging and share some of the reasons why the trend is occurring and what can be done to improve their lives.

The public is invited to learn about the latest research and best practices for educating and raising boys to become outstanding men, said officials. 

The event will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Olivet Baptist Church, 740 E Martin Luther King Blvd. The event is free and open to the public. Register at https://events.attend.com/f/1383776402

Dr. Gurian is a marriage and family counselor in private practice and the New York Times best-selling author of 28 books published in 22 languages. As a social philosopher, he has pioneered efforts to bring neuro-biology and brain research into homes, schools, corporations and public policy. The Gurian Institute, which he co-founded, conducts research internationally, launches pilot programs, and trains professionals.
