Geraldine E. Hayes, 95, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Tuesday September 20, 2016 at Regency Park.
She was born Dec. 22, 1920 in Chatsworth, GA, to the late Bunyan and Mae Moore; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Hayes; and brother, Ernest Moore.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Yong Hayes of Layton, UT, David and Cathy Hayes, Eddie and Charlene Hayes of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Jonathan Hayes of Brooklyn, NY, Michelle Hayes of Layton, UT, Branden Hayes of Dalton, GA, Brandi Hayes of Minnesota and Derrick Hayes of Dalton, GA; and great-grandchild, Hazel Hayes of Dalton, GA.
Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Geraldine E. Hayes will be held Friday Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. from the West Hill Cemetery with Dr. Danny Cochran officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9-9:45 a.m. Friday.
Arrangements are by locally owned and operated Ponders Melrose Chapel.
