GDOL To Host Recruitment For Apollo In Dalton

  • Thursday, September 22, 2016

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help chemical manufacturer Apollo Technologies recruit about 35 workers for its plant in Dalton. The recruitment will be held Friday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the GDOL’s Dalton Career Center located at 1406 Chattanooga Ave.

The company is recruiting production workers, such as assembly-line leaders, bulk depalletizers, filler operators, labelers, laboratory compounders, maintenance personnel, packers and stackers, tippers and cappers and quality controllers.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED).

While the entry-level positions require no experience, those who apply for the quality control and laboratory compound positions must have some experience working with chemicals.

The plant’s shifts are 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. from Monday through Friday.

Salaries range from $9 to $15 an hour.
