Edmonson, Betty Hicks (Cleveland)

Betty Hicks Edmonson, 84, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning, September 29, 2016, at Starr Regional Medical Center  Etowah Campus.

Born March 2, 1932 in Polk County to the late Claude and Mary Etta Arrington Hicks, she lived a majority of her life in Bradley County. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with her family and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Edmonson; an infant daughter, Carolyn Ann Edmonson; and nephew, Darel Hicks.

She is survived by her brother, L.A. (Frankie) Hicks of Delano; sister, Catherine (Vernie) Taylor of Cleveland; niece, Cathy Stanford of Delano; nephews, Steve Taylor of Cleveland and Max Bull of Delano; and several other extended family members.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home in Etowah. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery in Reliance.

 The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

 Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
