Joseph “Joe” Benny Millsaps, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in a local hospital. 

He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. He served in several religious organizations. Wherever he went or whoever he spoke with, they were left with a smile on their face. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Alice Millsaps; parents, Reverend Joe Q. and Mary Millsaps; sisters, Reverend Betty Millsaps and Jeanette Millsapsbrother, Reverend Johnny Millsaps. 

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Millsaps; daughter, Wanda Millsaps; grandson, Cedric Henderson; great-grandchildren, Kylan, Keylan, and Camari Henderson; sisters, Pastor Brenda Millsaps and Mary Millsaps, all of Chattanooga; a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation is on Monday, Jan. 16, from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

 Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Ronald Tucker as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
