Raymond “ Speedy” Dennis, 80, of Athens, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
He was a son of the late Hoyle and Edna Hampton Dennis; and was also preceded in death by a sister Irene Jackson; and three brothers, Reed Dennis, Charles Dennis and George Dennis.
He is survived by his brother Creed Dennis of Athens; sisters, Mary Ruth Womac of Niota and Ruby Walden of Athens; an aunt Reba Shultz of Ten Mile; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, at the Clearwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Athens.
There will be no formal visitation.
